Dr. Volker Musahl has been selected by the School of Medicine Executive Committee of the Faculty (comprised of all department chairs and elected members) to serve on the Committee for Tenured Faculty Promotions and Appointments (TFPA). Membership on the TFPA Committee is for a three-year term beginning January 1, 2023.
The TFPA Committee reviews all actions for appointment and promotion to associate professor and professor with tenure and in the tenure stream, and conferral of tenure. Their recommendations are transmitted to the Executive Committee for approval. Dr. Douglas White, Professor of Critical Care Medicine, Chairs the committee and Dr. Donna Stolz, Associate Professor of Cell Biology, is Vice Chair.
